Anderton Boat lift

After late get up, we all watched a bit of TV (a bit of Jack Whitehall in Bad Education), then Corin and I went out.

We were aiming for Marbury Park, but ended up at Anderton Boat Lift.  Fabulous place for a wander around, with a park attached which we didn't get to, but we will do next time.

As always, Corin got chatting to one of the lovely chaps (Richard) who was operating the boat lift whilst we were watching.  That ended up with us being allowed access into the "authorised personnel" area for a little while.  Lovely chap, told us lots about the lift and himself.  Was a treat to talk with him.

Home, via the awesome chippy in Grappenhall, then working for a while to stop my brain from fussing about the pain clinic consultant's appointment tomorrow (and the logistics of getting there in time given rush hour etc).

Enough now.  Ironing uniform now!  29 more Sundays left with that torture!
