So Inviting

It is no secret that this time of the year, I am so dreading the hot weather. When the temperature rises along with the humidity, I start to have trouble breathing and it feels like the life has been drained from me.

In the afternoon, it felt so hot, I thought I would scream! I had a couple of errands to run, so the kids and I drove off to Canandaigua. After we finished up, we went on over to the lake.

What a sweet decision that was! At the north end of Canandaigua Lake is Kershaw Park. The park is narrow, running between the lake and the road, but it goes on for a good distance and includes a beach with swimming.

While there, the cool breeze off the lake was so refreshing, it felt wonderful! I walked over to a tiny point where the land juts a bit into the water, and found a group of ducks enjoying the breezes, too!

The photo above is along a path there that is simply amazing. There are a couple of swings located amid the trees and the view of the lake is cooling...even on a blistery, miserably hot day! I could have stayed for hours!
