Nothing serious

This was our excitement today.

I received a call from school to say teenage son had hurt his finger and they felt he should have it looked at.

Being the best mother ever i sort of sighed at the inconvenience and asked if he was ok to get the bus home! They reiterated it would need looked at so i phoned the gp. They only had emergency appointments left which I was loathed to take for a sore finger but school did say it needed looked at. I made an appointment for 5pm. This pacified school so i was able to finish work on time and my teenage son was able to come home on the bus.

Well another real good mother moment was when I saw his finger, left index finger, writing finger, stuck, i started laughing. I found it funny that i had not responded immediately and his finger was sore and stuck!

The gp thought it was maybe disloclated and suggested we go to casualty. So that is what we did, an xray revealled no dislocation and a break from 2 years ago.

He's got two fingers strapped together for two days then hopefully will be able to move it a little. An efficient service tho, 2 hours from leaving home to drs to casualty and back home again.

Thankfully, nothing serious.
