Heron

A little blurred (as the sweat was pouring off me).
We went to the park in the morning so J could check out the Flea Market...she bought jewellery and trinkets, I bought some Xmas cards! While she was still perusing, I nipped over to the bird sanctuary - 2 man-made pools with no public access (this was taken through the fence) and hardly any birds! One heron and a few teal... and a dozen or so turtles. It was about 35 degrees and too hot for anything more energetic.

Went to Rare, the restaurant at the new Desert Palms resort in the evening. Service was excellent but the food was a bit disappointing, especially the burnt gnocchi that they served J! The venison was nice though.
