A drippy sort of day

I met some friends at Pinnocks café this morning - they serve wonderful coffees there, made by the drip process and not in a machine and you can taste the difference.

It rained for most of the morning, not a very heavy rain but the type that just drips and is annoying. As soon as there was a break I took Murdoch out for a walk - he hates the rain, he pokes his nose out the kitchen door and if it is raining he turns around and goes back to bed! (Yet he loves swimming)

It's not long now until the World Cup Rugby starts. We have tickets for Saturday's match of France vs Italy, not our favourite teams, but the tickets for the favourite matches are really expensive. I was lucky enough to be at the 1995 World Cup match in Johannesburg, South Africa where I saw Jonah Lomu burst into the scene of world rugby, scoring two tries in the match against Ireland. The talk is that it will be a England vs New Zealand final...won't that be exciting!
