Liberty

Our hotel is on Liberation Square, and this is the statue celebrating the liberation of Jersey. I needed liberating today - the hard bit of the walk came at the end unfortunately - never seen so many steps up cliffs and down cliffs - my nails turned blue at one point, and I really did think I could die!! Sheer b#**@y mindedness got me through - and I wasn't the last one in the pack. Tomorrow is supposed to be the worst day with sheer climbs, no loos, no cafes etc - I may have to liberate myself and go elsewhere!
