L'Etacq

After five miles beach walking on the west side of Jersey - known as St Ouen - reached L'Etacq - seen here - from where the walking got challenging - for the next five miles

This developed a good camaraderie amongst the 32 walkers - not seen so many climbs and downhills in such a short distance for a long time - but we attacked them well

Arthur - the walk leader - got a phone message to say the descent to the final destination - Greve De Lecq - was to be filmed by a French TV company - he diplomatically told them we were fatigued - but would be willing to be interviewed in the pub where we would be passing time until the bus home arrived

They never appeared - perhaps just as well - our French vocabulary is somewhat lacking
