In the midst of life ...

Such a joyful afternoon for me, finding a few late bumblebees busy in the sun, followed by the privilege of seeing three Spitfires flying to mark the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Battle of Britain. They may look like three midges in the extra photo, but they really are those wonderful aeroplanes.
Little did I know, happily taking my photos, that my dear sister-in-law was peacefully approaching the end of her life.
R.I.P. Ann, free of pain and confusion, your spirit soars like a Spitfire in the sunlight.
