Guardian of the compost heap

This tree stands at the edge of the university compost heap, which I walk past on my way to and from work. Taking all the grass cuttings, hedge trimmings and other green waste from a 200 acre site, it is quite a big compost heap.

Irritatingly, the app on my phone which gives me greater control over the camera, and in particular allows me to tone down the aggressive in camera sharpening, had forgotten its settings and I didn't notice until I saw the image on the big screen.
