"ON THE BEACH "

We took Matthew across the beach, up the steps on West Pentire and enjoyed a delicious lunch at C Bay.  Matthew always likes it here and of course Phoebe is always made welcome.

The weather started off a typical lovely Crantock day but by the time we came back in the afternoon, the weather had clouded once again and the rain came back.  But in the morning before lunch, Mr A and I managed to cut down half of the enormous Yucca which had grown into a tree as they do around here.  It was interfering with the telephone cables etc so a pruning was very necessary.  The branches are very heavy so we had to use ropes to lower them down gently.  Fortunately the roofers ladder is still with us otherwise we wouldn't have achieved the operation.

We are taking Matthew to Newquay Garden Centre today as they have a sale on and are renowned for their home made cakes!!!  No wonder Mr A was keen.
