Missing Petals

Last day of my working week and last day of BB’s school week.  He has a long weekend ahead. Work was busy as ever, though I took time out to watch the Union of South Africa departing Waverley Station this morning – in fact lots of us were looking out of the window.

BB was very grumpy when I picked him up from after school club as one of his friends is off school with chickenpox and he was due to be spending the day with us tomorrow.  That plan is now all off and BB is very disappointed.  I was glad to be able to drop him off at Cubs.

Last year this patch of sunflowers at the end of a local field looked spectacular.  This year the sunflowers are not as big and there are not nearly as many of them.  This one seems to be lacking in petals!
