Watching The Ducks

It was damp and grey first thing – but the forecast didn’t say rain, so I hung loads of washing out – there were glimpses of blue by the time I got it all out.  Our plan was to meet up with friends at a local country park – but we ended up just going to their house instead, in case of rain!  The boys had fun playing and even little Miss J got in on the act.  I had a very lazy time chatting and eating cake.  As the day had eventually brightened up they came back with us in the afternoon and we all went for a town/river/park walk.  All in all a lovely day spent with friends.

BB and I eventually got in quite late and instead of making tea I baked a cake.  Let them eat cake I say.
