Spider Nest

This afternoon I saw this really cool, green bug, on the front step, while on my way back from the mailbox. By the time I got my camera though, of course, it was gone. I looked around for a probable hiding place and came across, instead, mamma spider and her nest of spiderlings. She was protective - she rushed up her threads to be close at hand in case I was a threat. My naked eye was not good enough to see that these actually were spiderlings, rather than just tiny seeds of dirt, or something. My camera caught them :)
