Gus and I escaped early from work and stopped for a walk along the old railway embankment at Sandside. We bumped into a large group of people on a guided walk as part of the Landscape Trust weekend. It was chance for Peter S to embarrass me ahead of my talk to them in November!
I told Peter that the light conditions weren't ideal for photography, but as we reached the end of the embankment where the old and long gone viaduct launched off, looking back into the light, I was proved wrong.
This is the view back down the estuary to the little promontory where the port of Milnthorpe used to be.
This is a brief entry for now, I need to get back to the England Fiji start to the World Cup.
