"and it's like the sun going down on me"...

Well after 22 out of the last 28 days the American Dream has come to an end. Tomorrow we leave Virginia and head back to Washington DC for a night flight. We land 06.30 BST Sunday.

Today involved an enjoyable, but very hot, round of golf, a pool session followed by a last run on this great continent for 6 months (happy to crack over 50 miles), then dinner. The next time I'll see this sun is likely to be in Sri Lanka before Christmas but it's a little depressing that as of tonight the next time we'll experience summer is 8 months away.

Love America - we could learn a lot from these folk (as in fairness they could from us which I suppose is why both countries get on so well)
