2015 Friday -- Progress

We've been busy today -- The morning began by meeting the builders and again going over the details of all that is happening in this little shack, as we convert it to a home . . . lots of details.

Then we took the three mutts to the groomers; they needed grooming and we needed to drive inland (where it is too warm for dogs in the car) to the city of Paseo Robles to the cabinet shop. I wanted to discuss again what we had selected for the design of the cabinet doors and I wanted to see again the counter-top style and color.

Then we went to the appliance store because I am still trying to decide between white appliances or stainless steel. I didn't used to like stainless steel at all, but now that I've done a lot of looking, I'm more favorable toward stainless. So I'm working through the confusion of what color/finish to purchase. I had planned to get panel-ready appliances, but the refrigerator I want does not come in "panel-ready." So I'm processing all of this and glad that at least I know what brand appliances I want.

So today's photo is the front room of our little beach shack -- completely gutted. Some of the new boards that will level the floor have been put in place. So the remodel is underway and the sun is going down.
