Who Lives in a House Like This?
(A quick quote from an old TV show in England called "Through the Keyhole" with Loyd Grossman - he of the awful mid-translantic accent!)
The city of ULM in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany (on the River Danube) is criss-crossed with small waterways - this is just one example of a house built right in the middle of one - the problems of summer flooding springs to mind and also what happens in the deep mid-winter when Germany's temperatures plummet waaaaay below freezing?
Very pretty to look at (and to 'blip') but ..... to live in........?? Not for me!
On LARGE way over to the left you can see a small statue of a boy fishing - little things like these are often seen in German country towns.
Yesterdays back-blip - Freising, Bavaria, Germany - please take a look.
