Bottling the finished Apple juice

For those of you who have been following this story, yesterday we juiced loads of apples and decanted them into the large container where the sediment settled to the bottom allowing the cooled, clear pink juice to be drawn off today into two pint milk bottles to be frozen to drink over the coming months. The juice from our trees produces a marvellously tasting and beautiful pink drink which we thoroughly enjoy in the winter months.

This process is purely for apple juice HarryJ, the juice we created last Wednesday for cider was so different - a rather greeny brown as you can see from the stream in the shot.

The antibiotics seem to be working, thank you to all of you who sent best wishes. The swelling has not worsened and the inflamation has subsided from a bright red to a more subtle colour. It's stopped me drinking any alcohol though. But it didn't stop a walk into town for a bit of shopping and a bit of lunch. Back home we juiced another batch of apples.

And what a result for Japan in the Rugby World Cup, probably the greatest upset in Rugby Union ever. We have a South African relative who, like all South Africans must be in great shock - similar to the Brazilians were after their crushing defeat by Germany in the Soccer World Cup last year. Canada didn't fare too well either HarryJ. But it looks like anything might happen in this tournament.
