Amanita rubescens
While walking over the common this morning I spotted some of my second favourite fungi after Amanita muscaria. Amanita rubescens is commonly known as The Blusher as it goes a bit pink with age. Apparently it's poisonous when raw but edible when cooked. I wouldn't risk it myself, particularly because there is another similar-looking species called Amanita pantherina (aka Panthercap) which is highly poisonous whatever you do to it.
Other than this morning's walk I've been at my desk all day. I've got a lot done but it's not been easy with it being such a beautiful day out there.
