The Super Trees at Gardens by the Bay

The atmosphere was hot and humid, the temperature was in the 30s, so the conditions were perfect for these trees which have been growing rapidly in the past 4 years. Feeling a bit like extras in an Avatar film, we wandered amongst the orchids, the Boababs and the Aurucariae and marvelled at the biodiversity. These are clever gardens which coax you on from one point of interest to another before depositing you at the enticing "Satay at the Bay - affordable local delights in a garden setting by the waterfront" It would have been better if they had accepted Master Card as we had brought no cash but we eventually persuaded one stall holder to accept our card and we shared a feast of barbecued satay delights.
Before we left we were treated to a light and sound spectacular under the Super Trees and then headed home via the MRT.
