Big kids also may play…
An early morning train from Méré to Paris saw us installed in the Allemande appartement prés de Montmartre. After an expensive coffee in the Au Clairon des Chausseurs on Place du Théatre, we headed to Bercy for a (cheaper) picnic lunch. Emiliene had arranged our afternoon entertainment in the Musée des Arts Forains, (the Museum of Fairground Arts) and it would be fair to say that Dave had a great time winning both the horse racing game and the racing waiters game. I did ring the bell dangling below the Thai dancing girls legs in the spinning top game, but our greatest achievement was in powering the cyclists carousel to a spine tingling, bone jarring top speed that had the girls shouting for us to stop. Almost.
We returned to Montmartre for our dinner at the Restaurant Wally opposite our appartement in Rue Rodier. What not to like?
