WEYMOUTH MARINA

We set off at 9.30 this morning for Portland Bill in Dorset. Quite a slow journey with hold ups on the M25. We were held up alongside Weymouth Marina which is where I took this picture.

We settled into our room and then went for a walk to familiarise ourselves with the area. We then went to meet the rest of our birding group. We were shown slides of birds we may encounter over the weekend.
We had our evening meal and started to get to know each other. The signs are promising for a good weekend.
