Falling Water and Big Rocks

We left Albany, New York, and headed for Watkins Glen. It is known for 2 things. A race track where Indy-type cars race (I think), and Watkins Glen State Park. A gorge in the park has 19 waterfalls in a 1.5 mile hike.

The problem at the park? Usually a shuttle bus takes you to the top, and you walk down the 832 steps. But...nooooooo...the shuttle only runs during the summer and on weekends in the fall.

We valiantly tried to take the steps upward, but gave up after awhile. Still, it is fun to see.

We then hit a hole-in-the-wall place in Olean, New York called Rock City. It was filled with mammoth-sized rocks, and the loop took us an hour. A really cool place.

All of the big rocks were pudding stones. I'm going to have to do a little research, but they are like stones within a stone. Strange stuff.

We are spending the night in Erie, Pennsylvania, a little over 300 miles from home.
