I can almost smell it...!

So near, yet so far. Great big lovely green acorn... out in the open, where anything could happen. To go, or not to go...

Of course, I took the wide angle with me today. Inevitable really. If only I'd taken the telephoto. Still, a blip for the day, done. 

Also, elderberry wine racked off into a new demijohn, and tasting rather good. Damson wine, on the other hand, looking like someone was very ill, if it clears at all, probably a gorgeous puce colour. Hey ho. 

So much more elderberry out there on this afternoon's walk, if feel it's highly likely the fermentation bucket will be in use again shortly. And I've seldom seen so many sloes...
