Christening
Of the conservatory, and Matthew was home for 24 hours to join us. I'm very pleased with the dining space that we have created by extending and rebuilding the conservatory, but what is frightening is that the work has cost us almost as much as our first house!
Matthew is currently working at a PGL centre near Swindon, in an HR role, and listening to him, he has a lot of difficult issues to deal with and I'm impressed by his attitude, approach and maturity. Shame he isn't compensated accordingly.
He also has many funny stories from his summer season in the south of France, but best of the bunch is his sailing trip. The yacht they were sailing had a toilet that macerated the waste and pumped it out into the sea. Not a nice thought, but in the scheme of things, it was just a drop in the ocean so to speak. All well and good if use is limited to the open sea but unfortunately, one of the crew forgot this little rule and used the toilet whilst they were docked in port. His mistake was very evident to the rest of the group and everyone else in the port when a brown cloud appeared from the hull of their boat. A bit of a faux pas.
