Puffin, then Nuffin'

We spent a very happy couple of hours at the Ingólfshöfði Peninsula watching these wonderful little birds, and mainly missing shots of them as they took off and landed. They're fast! This is the result of 15 minutes of patience by Annie (plus a lot of other shots with only Puffin feet in).

An early start to get to the peninsula, but we were rewarded with breathtaking views in the morning sun. Annie also got attacked by a Skua (large bird of prey) but survived (it was swooping to protect the chicks we were treading carefully to avoid going near, and Annie didn't duck quickly enough). They're big!

Following the early start, the entire minibus slept most of the way to the hotel at Vik. There we had WiFi for the first time in days, but only in limited hotspot areas. So a laptop, beer and Doritos party started in the hotel landing and stairwell. Remember when there was no Internet, email, Skype or Facebook? :)
