Under Correa's government lots of these billboards are punctuating the landscapes. La Revolución Ciudadana Avanza! The People's Revolution Advances! This particular project, installation of a potable water supply system (i.e. big tubes underground from the Río Ayampe to Puerto López), has kept dozens of local people employed all throughout this southernmost part of Manabí for months.
