Giving a Fig

Our neighbour, Pierre, wood sculptor extraordinaire, brought us over some figs from his garden this afternoon. He invited us over to his atelier to see his latest wonderful creations, miniature furniture in amusing shapes, some bent and curved in Corbusier style and made from olive, walnut, cherry, and all sorts of wood.  As well as being a true artist he is also a very good neighbour.  It seems that, when we left for our recent trip to back to Ireland, we left our bathroom window open!!??!!  Pierre secured the shutter for us and retrieved the key from another neighbour in order to secure the house properly for us.
