possibly the longest day...
ahhh, so yesterday was actually the longest day! that explains it then! the long day out that seemed to go on forever! usually it occurs on 21st June, but this years summer solstice appears to have been yesterday. nevertheless, it's the start to summer, so, that's why the rain woke me up this morning! pouring it down. no breakfast outside today i'm afraid!
into the office and a good morning at work. still raining a i wandered out at lunch, but quite humid. off out in the afternoon for a meeting, and on the way back up Ilkeston Road i spotted this random chapel entrance out of the corner of my eye. i popped back after work to take the blip. it's a chapel in a really unusal position, and whilst the chapel looks quite modern, the entrance is old. looks much better in black and white than colour.
off then to meet up with Jo and Ruth at the Rose & Crown. not met there for ages (see previous blip back in Feb/March!) nice meal there, and great to catch up.
left at 9pm, and so cold, and dark clouds....is this really the start of summertime?!!
night out planned for tomorrow night has been cancelled, so i have decided on fitting some coving at 49, and then fish n' chip supper! roll on Friday!!!
