Long wet grass, long field, longest day

Summer solstice and it hides behind a thick band of cloud and rain. Up twice in the night and then a 6am. A cuppa and then of for a walk to the wood.

No rain, but still it's wet everywhere after last nights downpour. We make our way to the wood but take a detour after the first field as there's another dog in front of us and I want Pete to run free.

We detour and after two fields I realise I've made a bit of an error! The field with the long grass that's glorious when its sunny, is v wet when it's wet!! And denim don't deflect the wet!!

We plough through, Pete getting wetter and standing on his hind legs to see me! By the time we get to the end of the field my boots are squelching and I think it's even wet my pants!! I empty the water from my boots! Classic! I meet a chap with his dog and they look the same as us...we both laugh!

Home, and dried off then breakfast and shower. Visit to dr bazuka this morning another round of treatment, then into work.

In and it doesn't seem long before Ira lunchtime pub time and off to the dragon. Mrs Betteridge joins us and I also see beautiful Ava briefly.

Back to work and busy afternoon. I've had a really good week at work the first good week in ages.

It's been a long week, think we all deserve a relax and a vino tonight.
