Rejuvenation

Our first harvest as vineyard owners was decimated by a hailstorm/tornado - a dramatic statement but true. 300 of the 350 hectares of AOC grapes from the neighbouring village of Neffies were also torn to shreds and the storm bankrupted the local cave cooperative.
This evening, as we drove through Neffies, there was a big party outside the newly affiliated Alignan du Vent and Neffies caves. There were tables, a tasting, a big choir, music, wine and song. This small village has always produced fantastic wine. We wish them well.
