Haweswater, man made, but beautiful
This lake is another of our favourites, the most Eastern of the Lakes, and as you can see by the exposed shingles round the island, the water level is something like thirty feet below normal.
Just out of shot to the right is the site of the sunken village of Mardale, parts of which can be seen when the water is this low, though you have to know what to look for!
The other image is just of some sort of yachting event going on on the other side of Ullswater, I was fascinated by the reflections
