Hovering Mountain

Firstly, a huge THANK YOU to all who commented etc. on my recent Alpine animal shots, I just seem to have been in the right place at the right time.

Depending on the atmospheric conditions, the mountains seem to be nearer or further away. I do not really understand why. But today was overcast and it seemed to bring the Dents du Midi closer to the lake than it actually is. There was so much cormorant activity today. A rest day was needed after the recent mountain days but maybe tomorrow.....
