The Great Ocean Walk

The scouts set off 2 hours ahead of me on their big hikes. 4 were doing an overnight 22km, and an older group of 4 were on a journey of 2 nights and 35km. I had to do the "car shuffle", which set me almost 2 hours behind them. So, I set off on a solitary 10km along beaches, rocks and some hideously steep inland sections.

I am not as fit as I could be, so it was tough going, but I wouldn't have missed it!

Watching those 11 year olds growing on confidence and being self sufficient with tents and food was a joy.
