Summer's here at last!

We haven't seen that many butterflies in the garden this year, so it was good to catch this peacock on the buddleja today. Or as the spellchecker would have it, on the befuddle!

Roll on the promised Indian summer!

My extra picture today is of a frond of the tree fern, Dicksonia antarctica, of which we have many and increasing sporelings (OK, hirelings, Mr Spellchecker!) coming up all over the shaded area where the originals were planted. A future invasive in western Britain? Who knows.
