Joe's Blips

Sunrise, Sepember 27th

For the first time in years I got myself out of the bed long before sunrise this morning and had made my way to the nearest piece of high ground just 30 minutes drive away. What a reward !
To the East the sky gradually grew purple, then pink, then red. To the West the valley was shrouded in thick fog which gradually thinned out until it was mostly just a thin mist.
Back home. Breakfast. Skype with my baby daughter in Australia. Back to bed for a long well deserved nap.
Now we have a red supermoon eclipse happening at around 3.30am. I think I will set the alarm just in case the sky is clear.
All I want now as I sit myself down in front of the television is for a resounding Irish win against Romania in the Rugby World Cup. Can't tell you how pleased I was last night for the Welsh.
