Falkland Palace

What have we done to deserve a day like this?  Sunny, warm and just perfect for a drive.  Set out with no idea where I was going, but ended up in Abernethy for a delicious light lunch and then on to Falkland for a walk round the town and a visit to the Palace.

My husband insisted he'd never been there before until about half way round when he suddenly remembered some detail.  He's actually been twice before!!  The gardens were looking wonderful, with so many butterflies and bees among the flowers.  My extra is of a Red Admiral, just one of the many we saw.
