Village frolics

Yesterday I was in the most photographed village in Essex for the horticultural show, today I went back for the annual fundraising Three Legged race. Foolhardy pairs in fancy dress make their way from the village green round three pubs in the village, crossing the pond on their way up the hill to the pubs and on the way back down. Oh and they have to down a pint at each pub. Some of the competitors had started the drinking earlier! I had a flutter on the pair named Grab a Granny, and won £9!. Here are the spectators awaiting the teams on the way back. I liked the reflection.
