Phil's car loaded with bikes and an early work finish meant Mat, Phil and I were heading to north Wales for a weekend of mountain biking by 4 o'clock.

It didn't feel like four hours in the car to reach the hostel near Dolgellau. Cheeky pint at the local pub and an early night to try and shift my cold.

No mobile or wifi signal at all!
