Colour co-ordination

A day of unbroken sunshine and tranquillity that culminated in a pellucid sunset. On my evening walk to the coast I spotted this shield bug  perfectly blended with its brambly perch; then from the cliffs, I heard the barely-ruffled surface of water broken by the leaps and splashes of a pod of dolphins cavorting in the bay. My camera couldn't do justice to their speed and movement but I've added a few shots in the accompanying collage. It was a magical culmination to a perfect September day.
