Monument Valley

The main thing Mr isbi wanted to do on this trip was drive through Monument Valley, location of most westerns ever produced, "Roadrunner" and where Forrest Gump decided to stop running.

Those who know us will find it hard to believe that we got up at 4:45am this morning and returned to the Grand Canyon to watch the sunrise.

That gave us an early start for the 250km drive to Kayenta, with several stops along the way to view more spectacular scenery.

This afternoon we went into the Navajo Tribal Park and took a 1.5hr guided jeep ride through this amazing landscape.

Notice the two rock formations pictured show what looks like a left and a right hand.

As if I didn't already have enough choice of something to blip, tonight there was a combination of a blood moon and total eclipse. See extra.
