Sunset at Falmouth Heights Beach, MA

After a unscheduled detour to Woods Hole, we managed to find our way to Falmouth, where we made the most of the sunshine on the beach outside our hotel. After two weeks of travelling, it was good to sit and do nothing for a couple of hours.

It was a beautiful sunset and there was a strange rainbow effect on either edge of of the clouds around the sun, just about visible here.

The pub next door to the hotel was very busy tonight but we enjoyed the company of a couple from just outside Boston who invited us to join them at their table, another example of the friendliness we've experienced wherever we've gone over here.
