Gliding
This sweetheart is just gliding in for a landing. It's a blip from a unique perspective for me, splayed the way she is. I say this in the context of a "usable blip" because I get oodles and oodles of photos with hummers' feathers spread wide. The problem is that they are very seldom (never?) in focus.
I have been very fortunate this month to get a variety of migrating hummingbirds pass through my yard. This has afforded me the opportunity to see some that actually flutter and hang in the air, as this one is doing.
Zippy, my year-round "pet" Costa's hummingbird, comes by his name honestly. He zips from place to place. Zipping = Soaring. That means he does not flutter as other hummingbirds do. So I will never get a shot like this of the Zipster.
Good news on the health front.
1) I got ace results on my lab work for my kidneys and their functioning is stable in stage 3B. Yay!
2) I was able to give my knee orthopedic doctor a good report today and there's no need for further treatment on it at this time. Yippee!
3) My psychiatrist told me he has never seen me as stable (remember the bipolar) as I have been for at least the past six months. Double yippee!
4) Tomorrow it's the pulmonologist. Last time I saw him my breathing function tests sucked. Hoping for a better result this time because I feel healthier.
Hand specialist is next Monday. Cross your fingers that this lump near my knuckles and my three wicked fingers turn out to be something easily fixed. :-)
