Foggy morning

A very traditional mono landscape today after quite a few impressionist type shots over the last few weeks!! There was quite a bit of fog first thing but when it started lifting I was off with my camera, rather like the way it was still sitting in the valleys.

Turned into rather a nice day, although it has been a busy one, getting prepared for the extra 6 arriving shortly for the start of the fishing season tomorrow morning. It seems to be a real bloke thing, a bit like the opening of duck shooting. Guess it is a sort of a tradition that you have to do, although I am quite happy letting the eight blokes head off at day break in the morning along with about 400 hundred other boats - do hope it is not foggy like this morning or there may be a bit of mayhem!

Cody arrived back a short while ago with another very nice trout off the jetty, so excited. He has filleted it himself, and will cook it for the rest when they arrive ( it is now 7.30pm so me thinks it is going to be a late dinner!). He was in the kitchen with a mate at lunchtime cooking up last nights fish. They were getting quite "gourmet" with it, cut it into bite sized pieces, popped them into a mixture of sweet chilli sauce and lemon, then flour and into the pan. Actually they were superb, so that is the plan for tonight.

Thanks so much everyone for your stars and comments on yesterday's kereru and Cody's trout. Not a  lot of time for comments at the moment but do appreciate them all.

Just posted this when a very excited Cody appeared at the door with another nice trout.I smile as tomorrow they will be trolling all over the lake trying to catch fish, and he has just walked down to the jetty and managed a good number! Had to add this.
