Rain!

After weeks and weeks of dry, dry weather we are now experiencing a drubbing from Mother Nature.  The forecast for the next few days calls for rain -- and lots of it, with the potential for 8" to 12" depending upon the course that Hurricane Joaquin chooses to take. 

I feel bad for the daughter of one of my close friends, who will be getting married on Friday.  She chose to have the ceremony and reception at a beautiful place on the shore of Long Island Sound, with the expectation of having the wedding outdoors.  The forecast for Friday is not looking at all good, with very cool temperatures and abundant rain.  I may show up in wellies and a sou'wester!
