......blocked the sun at sunrise from lighting up the scene.  I suppose it might have been a build up of mist and fog though it was windier this morning and I wasn't expecting any to form.

Thanks for the explanation of Flickr's Explore feature.  I ended up with more than 10,000 views of the eclipse montage, which completely blew my previous top views out of the water.
