Sori on a Pinna

Sounds like double dutch to me but the dark blobs on the underside of fern fronds are called sori (singular: sorus).  As ever hadn't taken any photographs before getting home so was left to trawl the garden shortly before the sun went down.

Intend to try and get out to Weston Park tomorrow to see whether any autumn colour is showing up.
