Today's the day ......................... for the stuff of legend

We left Newcastle Emlyn for home today - early enough for the morning mist still to be hanging around in the valley of the River Teifi.

This is the deserted playing fields of the Clwb Rygbi Castell Newydd Emlyn  looking quite mystical in the fog.  Of course, for last few days, we've been right in the heart of a part of Wales fanatical about rugby - and we've had many conversations about the game-to-end-all-games that took place last Saturday night.  I bet this place would have been full to bursting then - and the celebrations would have gone on long into the night.

At least two of the Welsh players in the squad come from here.  In fact the place we were staying in is owned apparently by the parents of Gareth Davies - you know, the one who scored the all-important try?  So no wonder everyone felt so proud.

Over the next few weeks, rugby history will be in the making - and it will be closely followed by the inhabitants of this small town ..............................
