Mountains on the Moon

Not an eclipse, just a clear moon rising in the late September sky. 

 Posted off two books for my grandson's 4th birthday next weekend, and one of our village history books to someone in London who was unable to come down for the Book Launch. This gentleman was a London evacuee here during WW2, and just happened to be visiting the village last March, when he wrote a comment in the visitors book in our church. So I tracked him down and he was delighted to give us his memories - all of which were very happy.

JF managed to sit in a garden chair for a little while, so we enjoyed a cup of tea outside under the pergola, with clematis giving a little shade from the very warm late afternoon sun.
