Archetypal English scene #33

Another golf course. This time it's Millbrook, in Bedfordshire.

You can see the impressive church of Saint Michael and All Angels from the 16th tee.

Unfortunately, neither Saint Michael nor any of all the angels were favouring me when I took my tee-shot.

The ball landed just short of the green. I chipped down the slope, the ball hit the flagstick but, instead of dropping down the hole (for a birdie, which was the logical thing to do), it pinged away off the pin and rolled 10 feet away. I missed the putt back up the hill and a bogey was recorded.
